The Hik-Connect app is a free surveillance system application developed by HIKVISION HQ. Designed for the end-users, this utility software allows you to access your cameras remotely and from your mobile phone. The app works with Hikvision series DVRs, NVRs, and IP cameras which support Cloud P2P function.
As with other security camera apps, Hik-Connect allows you to watch live surveillance videos and even playback previously recorded activities. Not only that, but it also notifies you whenever the alarm you set up is triggered. Be warned, though, as adding cameras to your account can be a pain.

Finally, whenever the alarms you set up are triggered, this app will instantly notify you with pictures and videos. Note, however, that it can flood you with notifications.
Setting up this app is easy. All you do is create an account and add devices to it. However, as mentioned, adding devices to your account can be a hassle. Sometimes, it requires you to close and relaunch the app whenever you add a device. Additionally, it sometimes switches the security cameras to basic resolution even though you set it to HD.

Overall, it is good to have the Hik-Connect app if you have IP cameras installed on your property. With this, you can monitor your house no matter where you are. Moreover, you can set up alarms and even get notifications from any intruder. However, setting up your devices can be a hassle. In addition, the app often fails to connect to your cameras. Worse still, it floods you with notifications.
